Bob Pulford

NHL GM Grandfather

The measure of a General Manager is:

  • Stanley Cups Won
  • Development - the next generation

Pure and simply Bob Pulford has been the least recognized but simply the best.   He has recognized management talent better than anyone else, and given opportunities that others never gave.

Chicago never won a Cup under him but they went 20 years without missing the playoffs.  His fingerprints are all over Chicago's recent success and they are all over the NHL right now.

Next GM ???? --- Norm Maciver - he has drank the Kool-Aid.
